Make me hate it
Tare me up-push me down
Make me scream
and I'll be satiated.

Tare my heart out
If I cry, it's alright
I'm in need of a hand
to feed my doubt.

Chain me closer
let me feel how the steel
cuts my skin like the knife
was supposed to.

Leave me broken
in a heap on the floor
as I strain to hear
words still unspoken

Victimize me
what I want is to feel
how you feel when
it's Me you're accusing.

Please don't interpret this as a kinky sex poem...it's something completely different.

Now that's all I can interpret it as.

Although this seems to beg for punishment because of insecurity - a need to be accepted no matter the conditions.  Which is really not the best attitude to have, in my not so humble opinion...if fact, people that subject others to such bullshit really piss me off in ways that I have yet to successfully articulate.

I think that you have done a fantastic job of vocallizing that point though Shaun. Do you remember all the times you talked at me for not standing up for myself lol? Between you and Sarah...I don't know how I could still have problems with this particular area....

I beg for punishment becasue of what I have done to someone else and I don't feel like I've been punished enough. Make sense?

A good lesson can never be taught too many times.

I beg for punishment becasue of what I have done to someone else and I don't feel like I've been punished enough.

It makes sense...but that's bullshit. You don't go around feeling bad forever after something is done...you ask for an apology and try to make amends, you don't beg for punishment. You should know this.

I have been forgiven. I've been through all the right motions...but it's just that i feel unworthy to be forgiven so easily.

I think you're making mountains out of molehills.

"I have been forgiven. I've been through all the right motions...but it's just that i feel unworthy to be forgiven so easily."

Strangely enough, a lot of Christians struggle with this. Some non-Christians struggle with it to the point that they refuse to accept Christ, lest they be forgiven.

"You don't go around feeling bad forever after something is done..."

Some people do, for sure, but if you're just saying that's not the RIGHT way to do things, I agree.

On to the poetry!

I feel this poem is speaking about someone who often gets things wrong, who has someone in their life who never fails to tell them about it. Brings up everything. So, the writer wishes for the other person to mess up to turn the tables on them, but they don't.

It could be about someone who cheated on their spouse and wants something to throw back at their spouse, because the cheater is truly sorry, but the spouse won't let them forget about it. They want something to balance the scales so that they will both go away. I don't believe that it would work, though, because it just ends up with both parties throwing everything at each other...

There you have it. What I think. Probably way off base, too, but hey.

Precisely.

Oh good, my vision of you as the pinacle of all wisdom isn't shattered.

Actually...a lot of people think that of me...no idea where they get it from.

Shaun you are like the 3rd level Zoologist, a level not yet reached by any other. Kinda like going super-saiyan 6.
